Advanced Medical Massage Therapy
$120/hour or $180/90 minutes
Any mechanic is only as good as the tools they have and their ability to know which tool to use. If we view each type of massage (Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, etc.) as a specific tool, with a specific purpose then a therapist who possesses both the skill and knowledge to use multiple tools is a master of their trade. This is the premise of Advanced Medical Massage.
An approach that requires extensive knowledge of a variety of massage techniques and how they challenge the body to adapt to encourage healing.
Services only performed by Licensed Massage Therapists who have demonstrated proficiency or mastery of multiple modalities (types/styles) of massage therapy. Additionally, these therapists have studied Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, and disease processes to understand how massage therapy affects the body, and how to best apply techniques to encourage healing damaged tissue. Some of the techniques that may be used include: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Lymphatic, Muscle Energy Techniques, Dermo Neuro Modulation, Cupping Therapy or others to be discussed with your therapist.
Signature Specialized Massage Therapy
$90/hour or $135/90 minutes.
A smaller tool box doesn’t necessarily equal an incapable mechanic. It simply limits the type of work they can do. It takes time to gather and master tools. Signature Specialized Massage is about all about focused work with the specific toolset the therapist has mastered.
Individualized massage therapy, that can be either targeted towards a specific goal or to maintain and improve overall health. Therapists performing signature treatments are Licensed Massage Therapists, working towards mastery of multiple techniques and the most effective applications and are currently under mentorship through that process.
Techniques that may be used include: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Lymphatic, Muscle Energy Techniques, Cupping, and/or hot stones. Individual sessions are determined and agreed upon at the beginning of each appointment between the therapist and client to achieve the best outcome.

Specialized Services
TMJ
The temporomandibular joint is the busiest joint in the human body. Restriction and dysfunction in the muscles and soft tissue surrounding this joint can lead to pain, headaches, and jaw dysfunction.
Clients who may benefit from TMJ work include those who have had dental procedures, clients living with scoliosis, and those who suffer from clenching or grinding of teeth.
Consultations are required, and services are limited to only therapists who have been highly trained in this specialization due to the sensitivity of the anatomy of the head and neck.

Headache Specialization
Restriction and compression of the soft tissue of the neck and head can at times result in headaches. Special consideration must be taken when working with the head and neck, as the anatomy is more fragile than in other areas of the body. Therapists working to relieve tension that may lead to headaches are trained to work with shoulder girdle, front and back of the neck, and some face and cranial work.
Pre-natal and Post Pregnancy Massage Therapy
Pregnancy is a unique physiological event that requires some modifications for massage therapy. Therapists performing massage therapy during pregnancy require additional training to understand the unique needs of the mother and growing baby.
All expectant mothers who come to The Body Mechanics for care during this special period can expect adaptations to make them comfortable and safe during their pregnancy.

Cupping Therapy
Found in cultures around the world, different versions of negative pressure therapy have existed for ages. Cupping therapy is both a tool that can be used in conjunction with other treatments or as a stand alone therapy. Additionally, we teach our clients how to safely and effectively add cupping as self-care treatment similar to foam rolling.
As a negative pressure, cupping provides a unique input to the body’s monitoring system, (the nervous system) that will illicit an indepth response to enhance the effects of massage therapy. Cups also provide therapists with additional “hands” to assist and deepen any stretching techniques, or lymphatic movement.
We can also provide the highest intensity cupping therapy, fire cupping, upon request. Clients are required to have had one session of either silicon or plastic cupping prior to receiving fire cupping treatment.
